Lankan Zombie Outbreak

Lankan Zombie Outbreak

                                                          University of Peradeniya

At approximately 13.00 today the citizens of Peradeniya reported what they described to be disturbance coming from within the university. Many witnesses claim that they had been hearing what they have referred to as ‘moaning’ coming from the University’s Medicine Faculty .Some citizens who were immensely disturbed by these events took the liberty to inform the local law enforcement. By the time the Police had arrived several Locals claim that they saw a student running out of the university in a fit of rage.

“I don’t think he intended to harm anyone. He looked like he was being chased by someone “said one of the locals.

The Perdeniya Police took the liberty to investigate the University’s Medicine Faculty. The Staff claims that some of their students were working on what they described as a cure for lyssaviruses for their Finals. Their goal was to weaken the lyssaviruses virus by exposing it to radiation and work on weakness from that level. Unfortunately a valve broke and one of the students exhaled a vaporized form of the altered virus. The student in question was kept in quarantine by the university until he eventually started moaning and dashed out, biting one of his colleagues in the process.

The second student is currently admitted to the peradeniya general hospital, however hospital officials refuse to comment on his status. And yet the University’s staff assures us that both the students are safe an unharmed. However that doesn't explain why the Special Task Force was sent in to quarantine the area.

The soldiers were in operation within the university and the surrounding area a few hours after the police had arrived.
Another disturbing report from the area also claim that a villager was found dead in his own home with several bite marks. Some eye witnesses claim that the man was the first student’s father. All though no confirmation has been made up to this point. However the initial eye witnesses have supplied us with what they claim to be photographs of the victim’s body.

Another victim being taken to the hospital

The final report came just past 7 PM where we are told that the town’s people assaulted a lone male in his early twenties for what they claim to be ‘creating a public disturbance’

“That man looked really strange, like he was drunk. Then he suddenly started moaning and crashing the place. Finally he jumped at fruit vendor and tried to attack the man. The vendor pushed him back and started to beat up the man.”

This was how one of the locals described the incident. The man is reported to have fled the scene after being assaulted .however another eyewitness at the scene was able to capture the incident on camera. University authorities claim that the man captured on camera is not one of their students.
